Crunch&Sip - making it work in your school
The workshops have been a fantastic source of feedback about Crunch&Sip, especially in regards to how schools have overcome some of the early barriers they faced. If you have any tips or hints about how you did this in your school, we would love to hear them.

I was worried at first that having a drink bottle on the desk could just be another thing to play with when they shouldn't be or it would get spilled, but I made the rule the kids are not allowed to drink from or touch their bottle while I am speaking to them - it seems to work and I have had no trouble - no spilt water and no sucking on bottles like babies.

I havae been doing crunch and sip for a while now, coming into summer water is essential. the kids do gets used to having water near by and as long as the bottles have not been frozen there is no problem with condensation. the fruit break part of crunch and sip is no longer an issue because I take that time to read from a novel to the whole class and it does not really matter if they sit at their desk to eat.Have a sneaking suspicion though that I have not got 100% of school doing the same.
