The Centre for Clinical Effectiveness (CCE) Australia aims to enhance patient outcomes through the clinical application of the best available evidence.
*The Cochrane Library consists of a regularly updated collection of evidence-based medicine databases, including The Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews
*Guide to Clinical Preventive Services, 3rd Edition, 2000-2003. The US Preventive Services Task Force rigorously evaluates the merits of preventive measures including screening tests, counselling, immunisation, and chemoprophylaxis
*The Community Guide, developed under the guidance of the US Task Force on Community Preventive Services makes recommendations regarding public health interventions to reduce illness, disability, premature death and environmental hazards
Evidence Practice Centers Reports. US Agency for Health Care Research and Quality
*The US National Guideline Clearinghouse, a public resource for evidence-based clinical practice guidelines. NGC is sponsored by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), US Department of Health and Human Services, in partnership with the American Medical Association and the American Association of Health Plans.
*Put Prevention Into Practice (PPIP) A program to increase the appropriate use of clinical preventive services, such as screening tests, immunizations, and counseling, based on U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommendations
*Evidence Based Medicine Reviews (EBMR) combines three EBM sources: 1. The Cochrane Collaboration's Database of Systematic Reviews 2. Best Evidence, the ACP Journal Club and Evidence-Based Medicine from the American College of Physicians and the BMJ Publishing Group. 3. The Database of Abstracts of Reviews of Effectiveness produced by the National Health Service's Centre for Reviews and Dissemination.

The National Institute for Clinical Studies, Australian Commonwealth Department of Health and Aged Care. Includes literature reviews, project reports, and links.
The Australian Resource Centre for Hospital Innovation (ARCHI) aims to support and increase the implementation of effective and quality innovations in clinical care.
Netting the Evidence is intended to facilitate evidence-based healthcare by providing support and access to helpful organisations and useful learning resources.
The Evidence-based Medicine Resource Center, The New York Academy of Medicine in partnership with the Evidence-based Medicine Committee of the American College of Physicians, New York Chapter.
*The Canadian task force on preventative health care lists preventative health measures complete with the grade of evidence for each intervention.
The Centre for Evidence based Medicine is based in Oxford, UK. Includes the EBM tool box, an EBM glossary, how to practice and teach evidence-based medicine, the CAT bank (critically appraised topics), and CAMS (Critical Appraisal for Medical Students).

These datasets originate from a variety of sources including Hunter New England Health, the NSW Department of Health, and the Australian Bureau of Statistics. The timing of the release of these data to third parties is controlled by the owner of these data. It is therefore possible for these organisations to publish data that they have not yet made available to Hunter New England Population Health for analysis and release. Users should therefore check the publications of these organisations as it is possible that they may have published even more up to date information on Hunter New England than those available in this report. As this report is an ongoing project, the indicators presented will be updated as soon as possible after the release of all datasets to Hunter New England Population Health. |
